Bradley Gledhill
Bradley (he/him) is a lighting and production designer and creator. He is a co-director, with Rachel Marlow, of boutique design house Filament Eleven 11. Filament Eleven 11 work collaboratively to create dynamic production designs and lighting environments for live events. They produce work that puts design and technology at the centre of storytelling in an inventive and unique way. Brad’s 20 year history of work has seen him collaborate with Aotearea’s finest performance artists across theatre, large event concerts, dance, corporate and art installations. He created the production designs for the award winning Valerie by Last Tapes, and OTHER [chinese] by white_mess. He most recently created the video design for Nightsong’s A Stab In The Dark (Auckland Arts Festival), and is currently creating production designs for New Zealand Opera, and Auckland Theatre Company. He creates the production design for annual awards shows Silver Scrolls (2018–present) and Pacific Music Awards (2017–present). Brad has created production designs for Fat Freddy’s Drop and Teeks. Filament Eleven 11 create installation art – Light is Like Water (Monster Valley’s The Experiment), Canopy (Art in the Dark), UNTITLED WALL (Boys Will Be Boys), Myer’s Park Underpass installation Detour: Enter the Dark, Dissension Ascending; a light exhibition (Q Vault, Auckland Fringe), Orchid Wall Lights (Here Lies Love). Brad is currently collaborating with New Zealand Arts Laureate, Charles Koroneho, on Ko Te Ākau — Poetics of Land, Water and Sky.
With Trick of the Light he is technical designer and operator for The Griegol and has provided technical support for Tröll.
